Home decor: looks expensive but isn’t (Target finds)

home, inspiration comment

Home decor that looks expensive but isn't! |

Home construction is never any fun especially when you’re anxiously waiting to live in it! We’re doing renovations on our home – it’s been a long road going from paper to reality – but there is light at the end of the tunnel. We’re starting to pick out the things like cabinets, vanities, finishes. But, for me, the real fun stuff is really the decorating. I’ve been starting to browse around and have been impressed with the home items Target carries and how higher end they look. I’m starting to put together some inspiration boards but wanted to share with you some noteworthy finds. With the exception of the chairs, everything is under $100 (can you believe it?!).

1. Tripod floor light

2. Nickel ceiling light

3. Square wood/bone mirror

4. Indoor planter and stand

5. Grey tapered leg chair {4 colors}

6. Acrylic tray

7. Gold pitcher {perfect for drinks or as a flower vase}

8. Tuft chair {2 colors}

9. White peg-leg table

Another try-on session with so many cute things for such great prices!

Beige open cardigan | Snapshots: dressing room outfits | see all the looks at

Beige open cardigan {under $30! and 4 colors}

I wear my long cardigans ALL.THE.TIME. This oatmeal color one is a closet staple because it pairs well with everything. It fits well and is true to size (TTS). And, the price can’t be beat!

Cream off-the-shoulder sweater | Snapshots: dressing room outfits | see all the looks at

Cream off-shoulder sweater

This sweater is great for styling in 2 ways – as a cowl neck as I’ve done, or as an off-the-shoulder sweater. This would pair well with leggings or tucked in with a pencil skirt.

Red striped button front shirt | Snapshots: dressing room outfits | see all the looks at

Red striped button front shirt {6 prints}

This shirt is not a bold red and gives a subtle hint of color with the mixture of white. Love the color combo!

Rose pink sweater | Snapshots: dressing room outfits | see all the looks at

Rose pink sweater {6 colors}

This pink color is soooooo pretty! The sweater is on the thinner side so a good transition piece for mild winter temperatures and spring.

Striped tie sleeve shirt | Snapshots: dressing room outfits | see all the looks at

Striped button front shirt with tie sleeves

Tie sleeves aren’t going any where, and this subtle striped top is a great way to incorporate it. The fit is a bit boxy so you’ll want to tuck it in or belt it to get some definition.

Yellow sweater | Snapshots: dressing room outfits | see all the looks at

Yellow sweater (also available here in burgundy)

Bold colors will be the theme this spring and this one is no exception. It’s a really pretty yellow color! I love the burgundy color, too!

Lavender bell tie sleeve sweater | see the details on

Also, this tie sleeve sweater I previously tried on (here) is now on sale for 40% off!
