Style: pajama-inspired day wear

style trend comment

Pajama inspired daytime look | see all the picks at www.shoppingmycloset.com

The slogan “I woke up like this” is literally taking sleepwear into daytime wear. The latest fashion trend is styling your pajamas for a comfy day time look. Granted this look wouldn’t be appropriate in a conservative office, it would be great to try out in a creative workplace. If you’re not quite sure of the head-to-toe silky pajama look, try starting with this gingham top and pair it with a pair of jeans or a skirt. This pink vest with the bold piping could segue you into adopting the trend. A little more adventurous? This belted kimono could replace your usual coat or these piped pants could take the place of your usual jeans. Or, try this dark floral print dress with the contrast piping paired with a belt to give it a daytime look. Then, when you get home, you could lose the belt and through on your comfy slippers and be ready for a nice relaxing evening. Would love to hear your take on the pajama trend!

Looks You'll Love

  • I indulged in a PJ-esque blazer from Forever21 just a few weeks ago, it’s very similar to the navy piece you’ve shown here 🙂 the lines are beyond blurry in terms of style these days, they’re non existent, which is such a fabulous notion!!

On the blog today, I’m talking about the hush-hush topic of self-love.
Yup. Me, myself and I. I’d love for you to come over and weigh in, and
share your thoughts. It’s interesting to note that despite it being
the 21st century, and we’re preaching confidence and empowerment, the
    subject still remains somewhat risque.
