A few weeks ago, I went on a closet cleaning mission: to sell or donate clothes that were no longer being worn. There were a number of items that were no longer on-trend, things that I’d had since college (it wasn’t that long ago, right?), or things I had bought on a whim without properly accessing how often I’d really be wearing it. As I’ve matured, I’ve gravitated more towards items that can be functional in more than one setting. My goal has been to not purchase an item simply because it was on sale or because I really liked it even though it may not be versatile. I am hoping this new weekly series will help me (and you!) evaluate a focal item and find at least three ways to style it. Let’s start with this week’s pick!

I don’t know about you but wedding season is starting for me! In the last few years, I’ve been invited to a lot of friends and family members’ weddings. And always, the dilemma is the same: what to wear? I received an e-mail from Bloomingdale’s today for their friends and family event, and this provides a good excuse to go shopping (especially on designer items that hardly ever go on sale)!
I spotted this coral one-shoulder gown and immediately, fell in love! I love the flowy feel of the material and the sophistication of the one-shoulder dress. The neckline of the dress is already gorgeous and very detailed so I would forgo a necklace. Instead, I would pair these sparkling drop earrings and pavé bracelet as accessory items. How about this DVF studded clutch to balance out the outfit? These peep-toe pumps are great with the subtle texture and can not be only paired with dress but with other everyday outfits.

Happy Friday, everyone! Ready for a weekend getaway? Consider coming to the Napa Valley! The Napa Valley is one of the most beautiful regions in California and is the home of almost 400 wineries. A stone’s throw north of San Francisco, the Napa region is estimated to be the second most visited attraction in California (after Disneyland).
Napa known not only for its wineries but also its vast number of spas, shopping, and dining. It’s a perfect destination for a getaway to catch some sun, drink fabulous wine, enjoy some culinary greatness and take in some R&R.
A weekend getaway in Napa’s wine country means you’ll need some fabulous outfits!
Clockwise from left:
Start off going to brunch in a cute outfit. This bright yellow lace skirt is perfect for the sunny spring weather! Contrast it with a striped tank and bring along a lightweight cardigan in case the clouds make an appearance for a little while. A open-toed nude pump will elongate your figure and give you legs for days! Of course, you can’t forget the clutch – a necessity to hold all your essentials as you embark on your day.
After brunch, take a walk around and enjoy shopping at the boutiques and indulge yourself in a spa treatment! Worked up an appetite? Try some fine dining at mouthwatering establishments such as Ad Hoc, Bottega, The French Laundry, Morimoto, or Redd. Try a little black dress for the occasion. Add some sparkling earrings, a pop of red with a clutch, and some fun pumps and you’re already for some great eats!
On day 2, it’s time for some wine tasting. Whether your preference is cabernet, pinot, chardonnay, or zinfandel, you’ve come to the right spot. This internationally renowned region has a diverse showing of winemakers and they’d love for you to come and taste their creations. Consider taking a limo wine tour so you can sample all the wonderful flavors. Of course, that means you’ll need something comfortable to wear! Denim jeans are perfect for getting in and out of the stretch limo and navigating through all the castles and rooms of the various wineries. Try a blush-colored silk blouse and a matching blazer for a more casual but still sophisticated look. Complete the look with some cute earrings, a stylish quilted clutch, and bow-detailed pumps.
Hope you enjoy your stay and consider coming back again!
